Robert Moses Parkway South Segment “Riverway” Project – A Sustainable Solution
This project involves removal of the south segment of the old Robert Moses Parkway from John Daly Blvd. to the falls. The old parkway will be replaced with a park entrance road and the waterfront park will be restored to meet the original Olmsted/Vaux intent. The project was awarded “Evergreen Status” under the NYSDOT’s GreenLITES Sustainability in Design standards (similar to LEED). The presentation will review the NYSDOT GreenLITES program and the features of the project which qualified it for the award.
