New Advances in Concrete Technology

Presentation

An overview of some of the exciting advances that have taken place in the concrete industry over the last ten years or so. Topics to be discussed include Pervious Concrete, Roller Compacted Concrete, Self-Consolidating Concrete, Tilt-Up Construction and Insulated Concrete Form Construction. We will talk about some of the new and unique concrete admixtures being used that have transformed the marketplace by improving some older applications and generating interest in the newer ones. A brief overview of the concrete industry’s efforts towards a more sustainable product will round out this presentation.

Doug O’Neill has been in the cement/concrete industries for the past 23 years and is currently Senior Director-National Resources at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) and a LEED AP.

Attendees will earn 1 PDH Credit.
