Overview
The ASCE New York State Council is gearing up to work on the 2027 NYS Report Card and is doing this presentation to generate interest in the new project. The Buffalo section is looking for volunteers to assist with the NYS Report Card.
The program will provide an overview of the ASCE New York State Report Card. In 2022, the ASCE New York State Council Infrastructure Committee embarked on a task to evaluate and assess the condition of infrastructure in New York in 11 different Categories including Aviation, Bridges, Dams, Drinking Water, Public Parks, Ports, Rail, Roads, Transit, Solid Waste and Wastewater. This volunteer led effort mimics the national US Infrastructure Report Card which led to Congress passing the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) in 2021. The NYS Report card was released in July of 2022 and will set the pace for infrastructure spending in the state of New York.
