Speaker Bio:

Mr. Forte is the Director of Special Projects for Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. and presently serves as the Corporate Coatings Coordinator. A Structural Engineer by education, Paul has over 35 years of experience in the design and construction of transportation and infrastructure projects. Paul obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a Licensed Professional Engineer in FL, GA, LA, MI and NY. He has served as Branch Manager for GPI operations in Albany, NY; Buffalo, NY and Tampa, FL.

During his career Mr. Forte has been involved in several projects in the Buffalo area including the Design and Construction Inspection of several reconstruction projects on the Niagara Thruway (I-190); major recoating projects on the Lewiston-Queenston, Rainbow and Whirlpool Rapids Bridges; reconstruction of the U.S. Lewiston Customs Plaza approaches; and the reconstruction/recoating of the Niagara Falls observation tower.

Paul is an SSPC Certified Protective Coatings Specialist, a NACE Certified Level 3 Coatings Inspector and an SSPC C3 Supervisor/Competent Person for the De-Leading of Industrial Structures. He is a member of several technical organizations including NACE, SSPC, ASCE and AISC. Paul was the founding Chairperson for the TRB Subcommittee on Steel Bridge Structure Coatings, and has also been a prior Chairperson for the NACE Coatings Advisory Council.
