Presentation
The Third Set of Locks is the main portion of the $5.4 billion Panama Canal expansion. The project will result in more than doubling the capacity of the Panama Canal. The project incorporates the largest rolling lock gates in the world and more than six and one half million cubic yards of concrete, more than double that contained in the Hoover Dam.
Fall Line Testing & Inspection provided the Construction Quality Control for both the Atlantic and Pacific Locks including concrete, aggregates, cement, and soils. They maintained two full service laboratories which independently obtained ISO 17025 accreditation. Come to our dinner meeting to learn about the history, purpose, goals, and challenges of the Panama Canal expansion project.
